Climate
The KSA is a large land mass and as such has local variations in climate. In general, the same temperatures apply as for the Gulf States. Makkah is hot and for most of the year, with temperatures of up to 48 degrees centigrade. Still higher temperatures are recorded in Riyadh during the summer months, but with less humidity. The winter months are more moderate with occasional rainfall particularly in the highlands.
